Policies Regarding Minors at The Loft House Group

Minimum Ages

At The Loft House Group, we strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all our guests, including those under 18 years of age (“minors”). The specific conditions for accommodating minors in both private and shared rooms are detailed below:

Private Rooms

Minimum age: There are no age restrictions for minors staying in private rooms, provided they are accompanied by a responsible adult (over 18 years of age) who is their legal guardian, or that they have written authorization from their legal guardian to stay at the hostel.
Extra beds: An extra bed or crib may be requested for minors, subject to availability and with an additional cost of €20 per night (the crib is free of charge if available).
Children under 5 years of age may share the parents’ bed at no additional cost.
Responsibility: Legal guardians are responsible at all times for the behavior and safety of minors. Minors may not be left alone in the room or anywhere on the property.

Shared Rooms

Minimum age: Guests must be at least 12 years old to stay in shared rooms. Minors aged between 12 and 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult (over 18 years old) in the same room, who must be their legal guardian, or must have written authorization from their legal guardian to stay in shared dormitories.

The Loft House reserves the right to cancel, without refund, any reservations that do not comply with these requirements.

House Rules and Safety

Minors are not allowed access to common areas such as the kitchen or terrace without adult supervision.

Guardians must ensure that minors do not interact with other guests without supervision. The accommodation is not responsible for incidents resulting from lack of supervision.

Check-in Rules for Minors

Identification: At check-in, parents or guardians must present a valid identification document for the minor (passport or national ID).

Responsibility of Parents or Guardians

Ensure that minors comply with the accommodation’s rules.
Supervise minors at all times, especially in common areas.
Cover any damage or loss caused by minors during their stay.

Exceptions

In special cases (school groups / organized trips), specific conditions may apply upon prior agreement with the hostel management.

Reservations, Cancellation Policies and Modifications

Reservations at any The Loft House accommodation may only be made in person, online through our website, or via platforms such as Booking, Hostelworld, Hopper, Expedia, and Airbnb (and platforms affiliated with them).

The Loft House Group is not responsible for reservations made through any other channel.

Reservations must be made using a credit or debit card. At any time, The Loft House Group reserves the right to request that the guest physically present the card used to pay for the reservation for verification purposes.

If you would like to stay in the same room as your friends but have made separate reservations, please contact our team by email and we will do our best to accommodate you in the same room.

For multiple reservations of beds in shared dormitories, we do not guarantee that all beds will be in the same dormitory. To ensure this, it is necessary to book a private room of the required capacity or pay a supplement per person per night, subject to availability.

The Loft House is designed for short stays. Therefore, the maximum stay for the same guest is limited to 15 days per month, regardless of the number of reservations made.

Refundable Rate

Free cancellation up to 3 days before arrival.
For reservations made through our website: free cancellation up to 48 hours before arrival.
Cancellation penalty within these periods: 100% of the total price.
Charges will be made 3 days (or 2 days for website reservations) prior to arrival.
Modifications allowed up to 3 days (or 2 days via website) before arrival.

Non-Refundable Rate – Free Cancellation 30 Days

Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival.
Cancellation within 30 days: 100% of the total price charged.
Full amount charged during the 30 days prior to arrival.
No changes or modifications allowed.

Exceptions

Airbnb and Expedia manage payments directly under their own policies, which will prevail.

Modifications

Date changes are allowed subject to availability. Price differences must be paid if higher; no refund will be issued if lower.

Tourist tax: In Barcelona, a tourist tax of €5.50 per person per night applies.

Group Policy

Any reservation of a private room or individual beds for 6 or more people will be considered a group booking.

Minimum stay for groups: 2 nights.

Reservation Confirmation

30% payment required to confirm availability.
Additional 30% due 30 days before check-in.
100% of the total stay due 15 days before check-in.

Cancellation Conditions

More than 60 days before check-in: free cancellation.
Within 60 days: 30% charged.
Within 30 days: 60% charged.
15 days or less: 100% charged.

Reservation Modifications

Extra beds subject to availability.
Up to 20% reduction accepted up to 20 days before check-in.
Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Any damage will be charged to the responsible person.

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in: From 3:00 p.m. Early check-in from 1:00 p.m. costs €10, subject to availability.

Check-out: Before 11:00 a.m. Late check-out until 1:00 p.m. costs €10, subject to availability.

Identification: A physical passport is required. Schengen guests may present a national ID. Documents must be valid and physically presented.

Other Important Rules

Personal belongings must remain in lockers in shared dormitories.
Quiet hours from 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Food is strictly prohibited in dormitories.
Smoking, vaping, drugs, alcohol in rooms and pets are strictly prohibited.
All beds are single beds. Sharing beds is not allowed.
Failure to comply with rules will result in immediate expulsion without refund.

The Loft House Group reserves the right of admission.
